Automatic 3D localization needs directional information from a supported Ambisonics setup. A conventional single-channel measurement microphone does not provide that information.

Do I need to buy a ZYLIA microphone?

No. SMS works with measurement and Ambisonics microphones. The available spatial information depends on your input. ZYLIA recommends ZM-1 or ZM-1S arrays for maximum measurement accuracy.

Will software correction replace acoustic treatment?

No. Electronic correction and physical room treatment serve different purposes. Use the room analysis to guide practical improvements, alongside gain, delay and frequency-response adjustments.

Is the Correction Plugin included?

Yes. The software purchase includes the measurement application and ZYLIA Correction Plugin. The app measures and calculates settings; the plugin applies them in your DAW.

How do I start the free trial?

Download ZYLIA Command Center and follow the setup steps for the 14-day SMS trial. The published system requirement is macOS 14.0 Sonoma or later.
